Dr. Karl Popp

After three decades in the technology sector, I am continuously inspired by my clients’ innovation and impact.

Dr. Karl Popp serves as Senior Advisor of Lincoln’s Technology Group, providing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory services in Germany. He currently sits on several Advisory Boards and has a leading role in Germany´s M&A association.

Karl’s advisory expertise stems from deep M&A experience, during which he adeptly executed over 50 successful due diligences and post-merger integrations across borders and the software industry. Karl leverages both deep sector knowledge and trust-based communication to position clients for long-term success.

In addition to his advisory roles, Karl worked at SAP for over 29 years, beginning as a Director of strategic partners and working for 16 years as a Senior Director in SAP’s corporate development, strategy and new growth team.

Karl holds a doctorate in information systems from the University of Bamberg. He also earned a master’s degree in economics from the University of Bamberg.
