Tom leverages nearly a decade of experience to provide advisory services related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) accounting disputes. He advises clients, including private equity firms, private founders and large corporations, in a variety of industries on complex post-transaction matters such as purchase price adjustments, earnouts and breach of representation claims.

In dispute resolutions, Tom serves as a financial advisor and subject matter expert, supporting legal counsel and senior executives through dispute resolution, mediation and arbitration processes. His advisory experience spans various transaction types, including private equity acquisitions, corporate carve-outs and strategic mergers. Tom’s rigorous analysis of financial statements and purchase agreements helps clients make sense of transaction complexities. As an advisor, his approach is grounded in technical execution, tailored processes and strong, lasting relationships with both legal counsel and business stakeholders.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Tom worked in the forensics practice at Grant Thornton, where he supported the M&A disputes group. Early in his career, he supported a series of complex purchase price disputes that highlighted the critical role of accounting in interpreting deal terms and resolving financial disagreements. This experience drove Tom’s continuing passion for applying technical accounting knowledge to high-stakes situations, ultimately helping clients navigate post-closing challenges with clarity and precision.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and politics from the University of Virginia. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
